Title: ISA graphic card
Post by: Xenobiotical on January 12, 2010, 05:33:20 PM
Dear Friends,

I found a graphics card that I can not identify. Its resolution is 720x348 (there is a sheet of paper that says so on the card). An integrated initialed CIC8645BE 8623, another one D24382E 801 8613, another 8333 SY2128-3... they appears as main integrated... May this card be used on Amiga 2000? Which type of card is it?

Thank you!!!

Carlo

That resolution sounds like a Hercules card.  As far as I know, any ISA board will work provided you're using it with a PC bridgeboard, otherwise it'd be useless.

You could probably use it with a Bridgeboard (on the PC side only), otherwise it doesn't sound very useful. Try running those part numbers through Google, maybe it'll turn up some information.

Not 100% on this, but you may be able to use it with a GoldenGate card.

The GoldenGate lets you use ISA cards in big box Amigas.  Don't know if it works with GFX cards, it may just be serial / parallel / SCSI IO cards that work.

Good Luck!!!

I don't believe any drivers were ever written for ISA graphics cards on the GoldenGate card.
