I was trying to install AHI v6 onto my miggy running OS3.9 but I am having problems. I eventually installed version 4 I think (whatever came with the Delfina Lite card). The problem was that everytime I tried to open the AHI prefs the window would not open. Then, other icons would not open their respective windows or programs (ie: prefs, EditPad, etc.). A reboot would return the ability to open icon windows or programs but I was never able to get AHI to open. I was not obviously getting any sound because I could not configure AHI. I installed everything correctly I believe. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Rick

One good way to figure out what's going on is to run snoopdos while you try to load the prefs program.
I did that and found that I had some devices set up wrong when AHI6 refused to open on my machine.
Snoopdos can be found on aminet.

The problem is that by installing AHI 6 you overwrote your old AHI prefs which uses ReAction. The one that comes in the AHI package requires that you install MUI.
Solution:
Reinstall AHI 6 and afterwards overwrite the AHI prefs with the one that comes in your AmigaOS 3.9 CD. Thats it!

...or install MUI. AHI 6 prefs has some options that aren't in AHI 4, so you won't be able to adjust them with the default program included in 3.9.
