Hi All,
I'm working on a modern WinUAE WB drive image. I've never setup a hdd WB before since I didnt have the privilege of having a hdd on my A500 in the early days. (why parents ohhh why!!)
I've installed the trial version of MagicWB and get the nag screen on every bootup. I want to uninstall this application, but problem is I never uninstalled an App on an Ami.
Any one enlighten me on such a lame howto question B-)

This question isn´t particulary lame, as most Amiga-software does not include an uninstall-thingie.
I don´t remember about MagicWB, but my guess is that it adds something to s:user-startup (or else s:startup-sequence) read both files. most probably it added a comment line above the call to some binary. Reverting to the original colors & icons may take some extra work.
Maybe you should wait for an answer from another MagicWB-User ... he might know some tricks.

Whao! So there wasnt really a uninstall standard inplace. So that means for most software its tracking where it drops files and manual removal. Ouch. I guess the file count over all for packages will be low compared to todays standards :)
I took a backup of my uae hdd straight after installing WB. I'll revert back to that.
But still if anyone knows the best way to uninstall MagicWB let me know.

MagicWB cannot be uninstalled. There is no backup of the icons which have been replaced.
To remove the nag screen, just remove the MagicWB-Daemon from s:user-startup. There are other programs which let you lock the palette so that MWB icons look fine on screens with more than 8 colors. FullPalette for example.
