Title: Using a Eztower A1200 to fit an Amiga 600?
Post by: amiga1260 on January 08, 2010, 12:28:26 PM
Is it possible to do it?

Or should I find a Power Tower for an A600?

The following items I want to built in the tower:

Indivision ECS
A603 1 MB chip memory
8 MB fast memory
4-way IDE controller form Elbox
DVD-ROM player
40 GB IDE HD

Maybe a kickstart switch to switch from Kickstart 2.05 to 3.1.

Where can I get extension cables for the joystick and mouse port in the tower?

I used to have an EZ tower & I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't work. It won't line up with the backplate of the tower too well, but you could probably get it to be stable at least.

You can get joystick/mouse extension cables from Vesalia (http://www.vesalia.de/) or maybe you could get them along with the tower from AmigaKit (http://www.amigakit.com)

the 600 fits nice in the EZ tower. Something like this will easily mount joy-mouse ports to the rear of tower. http://cgi.ebay.com/New-1-Foot-DB9-9-Pin-Serial-Extension-Cable_W0QQitemZ380194619401QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item58855d8009

Perhaps you can fit it inside an A1200 case.

Fitting in an A1200 case won't work, because the keyboard ribbon isn't the same.

A600 needs other keyboard adapter.
