I am setting up an amiga600 with an internal CF as harddisk.
It is a 1 GB CD card which I split in two and formmattted these two with hdtoolbox.
But if I want to use the installdisk off workbench 2.05 it can't install (no disk type 7).
I copied the contents off the workbenchdisk to the boot partition and it boots up ok with this now.
But why won't it install from thew original disk?Is it a name problem with the partion?
Also there is a flickering in the screen everytime the harddisk is accessed it seems.
I used to have an amiga 1200 with same problems the cure there was a hardware hack with cutting or placing a resistor somewhere in the videocirquit ...anyone?

What's your exact material configuration ?
Perhaps that your PSU can't provide enough power for AMIGA+CFadapter+rest of internal units.
I read also this : http://www.lemonamiga.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7196

Not sure about the 2.05 Workbench Install Disk. It may be that it's just a script and it's looking for partitions called HD0, HD1 etc. Or DH0, DH1. Maybe you could have a peek at the install script and see what it's looking for?
I'm not sure what the flickering is, but yes it could be PSU. I think alot of Amigas do that to some extent...even when the floppy drive "clicks" to check to see if there's a disk inside. All my Amigas do that, it has never caused me any problems. I use the noclick feature of multicx to solve that.

It's an amiga600 with an elbox chipmem with RTC expansion and the CF adapter offcourse.
Psu is a 5V 3.0 A and 12V 0.5 A.
I'll try to read the installscript.
