No prob. glad to help :-).

mmm.. I did not use the VLab.  I was at work so just did a quick edit on
the PowerBook.  I may add the rest of the vid showing other components being
installed.

Hi,

@Vlabguy1,

I usually have someone else hold the part in place on the board, that way if I burn a finger it will be someone elses. (My wife is really good at this and has had her fingers burnt several times, and no she is not blonde).

There is no doubt that the components and wires I solder get very hot.  Sometimes to the point where my finger/s can't stand it but I ignore the pain as much as I can.

I always slab some some solder on one side first, re-heat and attach, then do the other side.  No fingertip burns, and no need for a 3rd hand. :)

Yeah..I checked it out..um..na I gots much better skills than what I saw
