Title: Bllodwych Guru in pocketUAE
Post by: cycloid on December 22, 2009, 07:26:22 PM
I've crafted a nice 4mb HD image consisting of a whdloaded install of bloodwych and it runs fine on winUAE but gurus in pUAE (workbench loads fine). Alternately i can run the raw disk image fine in both emulators but am unable to save the game (dodgy nonstandard disk format or some such). Anyone any luck getting it going in a mobile form!?

You've managed to run PocketUAE?

Please give details - WM version, RAM, CPU and most importantly: how much time do you get out of the fully charged battery?

I wish I could test your config on my Symbian UAE4All - alas it is said not to support HD

wow i didnt realize just getting pUAE running was miraculous in of itself. It's a HTC Universal, 64MB RAM, 500MHz ARM, hardware keyboard, 640x480 screen.

Hardware keyboard means that i dont need to rely on the half baked on screen keyboard pUAE uses but to map the function keys i had to use a background service named pqzII (using which is also a science unto itself!) will post the details of the working emulation here tomorrowish.

anyway, still stuck in the same boat, i can run the floppy disk edition fine in pUAE, but it crashes when attempting to load a saved game. I can run a whdload'd image (i got it into 4mb) on winUAE fine inc loading and saving but wont start bloodwych on pUAE, just gurus. soooooo close!

I only managed to get 320x240 on my Universal, when I tried vga the mouse became inverted! and it was really slow...
