Title: Commodore Amiga 1000 Sidecar Expansion System
Post by: Acill on November 12, 2003, 04:11:54 AM
Here is another great buy for anyone looking to get some slots on the A1000.  I used to have one of these in my A1000 back in the day. Its a steal now too.

Seems like it's been withdrawn because of an "error in the listing :-o

I have seen quite a few auctions be terminated before end recently. maybe has something to do with ebay's policy to not allow external links anymore.

Anyway, the 1060 SideCar is of limited usability, especially nowadays.

You have to find *8-bit* *ISA* cards to add something to that monster. I have been trying to hunt one down that is usable nowadays, no luck so far. The only practical use I can see is to serve as a fileserver, as stated in the link from the auction. But then again you would be better off with a hardrive for your Amiga.

but of course, for collectors like me its just cool to have :) :) .

Have fun,
