Title: WANTED: Any Zorro GFX card.
Post by: Tension on December 07, 2009, 05:39:07 PM
Hi.  I`m looking for any Zorro GFX card for my a4k, as my 1084s has finally bitten the dust after 20 years of loyal service.

Must be really cheap, as I am unemployed and have a kid on the way.

Can anyone help me here??

Thanks in advance.

How about cheap LCD-TV? Some of them works very well with amiga, also as a flicker fixer

How does $100USD (plus shipping) for a CV64 sound?

(I know, its not "very very cheap," but it's cheaper than I've ever seen one go for.)

Only problem is that it won't fix the problem; all native screens such as boot menu, non WB games, etc won't be visabe through a graphics card.

A520 with a composite monitor can handle that stuff until the RTG card is set up.

..or, allow me to offer a nice C=2320 scandoubler instead!  Handles AGA modes nicely.

Nostromo is offering a PicassoIV, which will do all of that in one nice card... I have one in my own Amiga 4000 and it works like a charm on my €70 TFT.

I would jump on this if you can, that's an awesome offer from tone007. I've been looking for one for ages and they're always more expensive. It's a nice, fast card with a passthrough for your scandoubler... very cool!

An IndivisionAGA would work too, it will even output the early boot menu to a VGA screen.

That`s why i said it had to be very very cheap.  Like 20 quid.  Or free.

It`s worth a try...   If I cant get one i`ll prob sell by Amiga stuff and just leave the scene.

Too much heartache.

Sent you a PM yesterday ;-)

Could you not get another monitor for free somewhere that runs? Most people give them away nowadays because they swap for TFT or all-in-one's...

Cheers for your offer mate.

Still not sure if i can afford it though.  I`ll get back to you real soon.

This is a crunch moment for me.  I`ve been wanting a GFX card for about 10 years now, but i couldn`t afford one.  Now, I absolutely need one.  I don`t want to get another monitor / indivision / connect it to tv / use RF modulator etc etc.  It`s a GFX card or nothing.  My eyes cant handle the interlace any more. :(

JJ are you out there??  Tried PMing you a while back.

Does the offer still stand??  I`m getting withdrawal symptoms here   :)

Cheers.

I`m too long in the tooth for that.  15 years of interlace i think i`ve earned my stripes.

You are aware an Indivision or a good scandoubler with flicker fixer would eliminate interlace flicker completely, correct?

Be a real warrior, repair yourself your a1084s !
Replacing all caps, diodes, transistors, flyback won't cost you more than 40 Euros..
