How work Ibrowse for you if you try of accesss this sites?..
In personal experiense, with Facebook and Hi5, not good, becouse there change somethings and now you can enter the site, but many other things like modify status, or accept, friends, etc cant work properly.
With Twitter work fine the Ibrowse!!..
Wich is your experiences with Ibrowse in this kind of sites?..

My favourite social networking website is Comic Space ( http://www.comicspace.com ). It's a place for people who are interested in reading, writing, drawing and publishing comic books and online comic strips. It works very well in IBrowse, too! :)

I've found OWB seems to render most sites successfully - but then I've not spent much time with IBrowse etc. Oddly, I don't see OWB mentioned much on these forums :s

Maybe because OWB doesn't run on classic Amigas very well at all. Everyone knows even with a 060, 256MB RAM and a RTG card it's still too slow to use. IBrowse and AWeb are still the best choice for classic users without RTG, Netsurf is becoming the choice for RTG classic users, but OWB is still best used on Aros, MorphOS and AmigaOS4. Oh, and UAE of course, but then Netsurf is a better choice for running in UAE anyway.

Firefox 3.5 on Windows XP PRO SP3 for everyday web based productivity.
Ibrowse 2.4 on classic setup Amiga OS 3.1 68030@50 for IntraNET, AmiNET, GoogleUK and sites I know use programming techniques best suited for my native /w expansion Blizzard accelerator hardware specifications.
Works great and thanks to all the developers of Internet related tools for taking the time to create them and open up the wealth of opportunties for my Miggy to enjoy giving it a whole new lease of life.

Hi Cammy, (and anyone else who has experience with Netsurf and OWB on an emulated Amiga) I have been using IBrowse2.4 on my WinUAE/Amikit emulation, but have been thinking of setting up Netsurf and/or OWB to see how they run on a fast emulated Amiga environment. What are your opinions on the comparison of Netsurf, or OWB for an Amikit emulated Amiga? Which would you suggest and why?
I am also tweaking my A1200/060 w/256mb Fast RAM (first time I have had this much RAM installed in a Classic Amiga) and as soon as I figure out what I am doing wrong in setting up the wireless networking card with AmigaKit's EasyNet, I will be testing different browsers on it. I used to be an AWebII user back in the day (I hate that term, "back in the day")

Humm, yep.. Comicspace.com, work fine with Ibrowse!..
I still having problems with other sites like facebook or HI5..
And other thing anoying in this kind of sites its the continous showing of the "Ibrowse Alert Windows" asking about are running Javascript

Hi Dave, I'm very envious of that A1200 system you're building up! If you plan on trying OWB or Netsurf on it, you will need a graphics card too, neither of them work with AGA.
As for running those browsers through emulation, I've not tried it yet to be honest. I don't use Windows at all, so no WinUAE here. I do run Aros natively on two PCs though, and OWB is great for using on every website I go to. It can't play inline flash videos, but it's not hard to open them with MPlayer instead.
I'd say Netsurf would be the better choice for running through an Amiga emulator though, and OWB for Aros.

Drummerboy, there are a few settings in IBrowse for reducing the alerts, just play around with the preferences a bit.
Apart from its lack of CSS and a few other modern features, IBrowse is an excellent browser and a great Amiga program with plenty of configurability.

Sorry to here you are experiencing problems with accessing Facebook and HI5 Drummerboy, can appreciate the annoyance of the "Ibrowse Alert Windows" although they are actually useful as a diagnostic tool to assist you determine how successful IBrowse has been at displaying the page for you.
Many advances have been made in the evolution of programming websites since the development of Ibrowse and consequently Ibrowse is only capable of successfully working within the parameters at the time of its release.
You need to keep in mind that those particular sites are obviously very popular and generally orientate around the latest programming practises to achieve functionality. Some of these websites you'll discover use Javascript programming techniques which might not necessary been 100% supported by IBrowse, hence the Alert Window prompting to inform you of this.
In all fairness though Ibrowse does a pretty damn good job!
Hope this helps. Others may wish to contribute, correct or elborate on this topic.
