Title: LG Flatron W2232S (22inch LCD) syncs @ 31Khz
Post by: dougal on November 30, 2009, 04:32:35 PM
I connected my A4000 (using a ScanMagic Scandoubler) to my LG Flatron (W2242S) 22" LCD monitor and it worked first go.

I know that most LCD's will not sync at 31Khz so i thought i'd share this info.

It's not the kHz, it's the Hz value mostly; my BenQ does 44-51, 59-61 and 74-75 Hz. It's easy to go outside those values as 59-61 is a pretty narrow band. And most LCDs don't accept as broad values I think.

Yes, I'm aware of that, so it's possible that it didn't work for dougal, because of unsupported vertical range, not horizontal. I know that Benqs can sync at 50Hz as you say, which is great for PAL, unfortunately my Samsung needs 56+ as most others. I wish I had checked that before buying...
