Title: C=1960 went poof!
Post by: TjLaZah on November 11, 2003, 05:29:17 AM
Well I knew it was coming. My trusty old 1960 finally bit the dust.  Ah the smell of burning electronics ;)
It was having the old arching problem once in a while and this time it shorted out for good.
Too bad as the monitor is in great condition physically. :(

You might consider having it repaired,  I don't think you can buy a new multisync (15khz) monitor anymore.   :-(

Don't bother, mine blew up a few years back. cost me 40quid to get it repaired, it worked for about 2 weeks, then blew up again.

You and all? Perhaps its that time of year for the death of electrical equipment? sorry to hear about your monitor, I'm told the 1960's were good bits of kit

Aww maaan, give it a try! There's a solution to that arching problem, you can find it on amiga-hardware (http://www.amiga-hardware.com) website, maybe that would help?
C= 1960 is my dream, it looks very nice ontop of A4000, much better than LG 57i... :-(
