Title: Internet
Post by: atom-ant on November 21, 2009, 05:37:08 PM
Can anybody help I`m trying to get the PC talking to the Amiga and verse visa. I have installed Amiga explorer on the PC and the Amiga. They are both on the Internet and working fine. On the Amiga I`m using Easy Net. I have pinged the PC and the Amiga and working. When I click on the Amiga explorer I get and error which reads:- Error connecting with the Amiga server: TCP/IP socket not found. It seems the more I go in to it I get more confused.

If you are using EasyNet (http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/easynet.php), add the PC to your Host Manager, then restart connection.  Go back to the Host Manager, click the Connect To.. button then enter PC's Share Name, Workgroup and username, password.  Finally click Connect button

You will then see the Share mounted on the Amiga's Workbench screen as shown:

There seems to be a problem with Easynet and Aexplorer.

When I use genesis as my TCP/IP stack I have no problems.

With Easynet I just can't get AExplorer to work at all. I get the same error as you.
