Title: Floppy failure on amiga 600 hd

Today i gave my father my old Amiga 600 that had a 3 gb hd in it and OS 3.1 installed it was in perfect working order when i tested it but since i needed the Hd for my incoming A1200 i pulled it out and gave it to him

and today we was about to play some games but the flopy juz didnt want to start upp no responce at all tryed everything removed the expanded memory card even tryed with WB disk .. no nothing so i puted in the HD again and voila it started to work again ,, any idea what culd be wrong here ?

Rom 3.1
WB 3.1
HD 3 gb

KS 3.1 has a boot delay to check for IDE devices. If you've got no IDE HD connected then the delay takes about 30 secs.
