Title: ATI graphics card
Post by: motrucker on November 05, 2009, 05:32:01 PM
Anyone interested in an ATI 9550 card with 256Mb or RAM. It's an AGP card. I used it in a windows machine, but I believe can be used in some newer Amiga "clones". The card works great - And I should still have the CD it came with (although this is only Windows drivers & software)
I can ship it with a fan installed - or not (NOT original).

Your card isn't well supported by Amiga OS4.x or MorphOS 2.x. At least not at the moment.  So unles someone wants it for a PC I doubt you'll get a lot of interest.

I was told that the 9250 was supported. Is that true, or is that guy just blowing smoke. Same source on the 9550 - so I wonder.
I'll just hang onto the card then. It's a very good card for Windows and Linux - who knows what project may pop up....

This card IS supported by linux, and would make a nice graphics card for a dedicated amiga emulation machine...

When I put together a windows machine that booted straight to uae/os3.x it ran like crap till I put a decent video card with gpu in the pc, now it flies...

Also, check the aros compatibility list, I think this card is supported by AROS...

9250 is supported but that is a r200 series card whereas the 9550 is a r300 series card.

I have a 9250 in my A1, it is working a treat under OS4.1
