Anybody have any info on this book? Was going to buy a copy of the original edition off Amazon, but they are now advertising the 2nd edition.
It seems to be a hardback, but does anyone else know if there`s anything extra in it??
(Probably gonna wait til the 2nd edition is out anyway i suppose...)

The first edition was hardcover as well, from what I've heard most of the changes are editorial (LOTS of typos in the first edition) but I imagine there'll be something added.

I'm really hoping to get this soon! Just checked my Amazon account, and it says I ordered On the Edge 2nd Edition on 28 Oct 2008!! I was going to order the original edition but pre-ordered the 2nd edition because it said it was due within a week or two.
Yeah that plus a year...

I'll be ordering this as well. Got the first edition which was a great read but according to the book description
'This updated second edition includes additional interviews and first-hand material from major Commodore figures like marketing guru Kit Spencer, chip designer Bill Mensch, Commodore cofounder Manfred Kapp, and infamous CEO and President Jack Tramiel.'
Think this will be worth the wait.

After the first edition was released, the author had a webpage listing, it might have been, 6 bonus chapters. One was on the KIM-1 and that one, maybe one other, was actually released though I dont think any of the other bonus chapters were and that site is long gone at least as far as I can find.
I will assume that at least the bonus chapters that were released will be incorporated into the new edition and from what I've read about it the author had a chance finally to interview Jack Tramiel around the time he spoke at the Anniversary of the Commodore 64 and the results of that will be added to the book in the new edition.

I just got an email from Amazon (UK) saying that the release of the new edition has been cancelled! :(
Looks like I'll just have to get the first edition.

A good read nevertheless, even if the typos can get a bit annoying.

Also got the cancel email today, very dissapointing as I was looking forward to read the jack tramiel interview.
