I was thinking about upgrading the kickstart roms to 3.0 or 3.1 and wanted to know could i use an amiga 500 3.1 rom to do it as i have not seen them anywhere for a A600.

yes, you can (and should) use A500/A2000 3.1 rom. All three machines use the same ROM. There's no 3.0 ROM for the 600/500/2000 btw.

Hi
I have bought this 3.1 kit:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190342341676&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
for my A2000 and have one on the way for my A500+. It contains the ROM and the OS disks and will work on an A600 too. Oh, and at just over £15, the price is great too!
Hope this helps

Just as a quick side thought, has anyone seen an A600 towered. Scratching my head here. Just that the 600 out of the box has fairy limited expansion capacity. Saying that I have seen some amazing upgrades to the stock A600. Just not a tower.

Yes.. But just for fun..

Not a tower, but I put together this case for a bare 600 board I had lying around. Gives you a little more room to upgrade, at least.
