Title: This drive..

Hey, I just recently discovered a brand new never used Coleco Adam 5 1/4 external drive in my attic.. now I don't have a Coleco anymore.. is there anyway this would work with my A1000 or my PC? Or is the hardware just too different from either.

the drive mechanism inside could possably be used but probably not
i wouldnt bother

I discovered something by taking the thing apart. The drive is nothing more than a standard internal IBM 5 1/4 drive in a box. Coleco attached it to a board underneath it called their "Controller/Power Supply" with a standard FDD cable / power supply cable! Take it out of the box and put it in a PC and it works normally like any other.
