I'm fixing up my old A1200. It's mostly complete, but it's missing the membrane for the keyboard, can I swap, say like a A4000 keyboard membrane, or do I need to use a A1200 specific one? Can I use any old Amiga floppy drive in it? It's been so long since I have worked on a 1200!
Thanks

pan1k, where are you located? if its in the UK then i believe i have a spare a1200 keyboard you can have for the cost of postage but internationally it might be cheaper to source locally.

Hey Mike.. I'm in the US. If the price is right..
Hey how did my thread get moved to marketplace? It's a technical question . .

Sorry pan1k, i was sure i had a spare a1200 in the back room, alas i have plenty of old yellow cases but the keyboards are gone. Sorry my friend.

It's OK. I'll likely end up purchasing one from AmigaKit soon.. On a side note, does anyone know what size screws are in the bottom of the A1200 case, including the floppy screws?
-
Amigakit can most probably supply you with a full set of screws if necessary
-
Yeah, you can use any* amiga drive

There was a guy on Ebay selling the membranes cheap (I think he was called was Airy36).

as spaceman says above, the ebay seller airey36 sells many amiga spares. Although he's in the UK i'm sure if you contacted him he'd ship abroad.
Here's a link to the 1200 keyboard membrane he's selling (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/amiga-1200-keyboard-membrane-used-replacement_W0QQitemZ300350123747QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_VintageComputing_RL?hash=item45ee432ee3)
