Not that big of a deal, but I thought it was interesting..just a imitation of a parallax scroll that SOTB uses..written in BASIC.
DarkBasic (http://darkbasicpro.thegamecreators.com/?m=showcase_view&i=86)

That's pretty well done! And a good example of the fact that a PC can in fact do pixel perfect scrolling without jittering =)

It is a nice demo. The guy Lee of DarkBasic is the guy who made AMOS on the Amiga...should explain why that demo was made to show off DarkBasic. Its a good language, and I use it alot.

I just watched "The Lab" demo.
It was very impressive. Certainly not jittery.
Really felt like an old Amiga demo.
I'm a beginning games programmer. Perhaps I should switch to DarkBasic. Thus far I've been using C++ and gcc, and mostly Visual Basic .NET with DX 9.0.

Eh? The guy who made AMOS was called "Francois Lionet", not Lee.

Doing games in C++ can be a bit of a Dog, but I can recomend using SDL, and that will make life much easier.
