That sounds pretty impressive! I just need a minimig now.
-
I'm waiting for the Replay board. But these updates are great to see as the FPGA stuff is compatible (so i'm told).
-
Are the Arm controllers still available or do you have to make them yourself?
-
laurentzorawski57@hotmail.com should still sell them otherwise check:
http://www.minimig.net
Jakub posts there, he is the developer of the Minimig core and creator of the ARM controller.
:-)

We are now offering new Minimig (http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=minimig) with optional 4MB Memory pre-installed
Compatible with this new firmware!
-
Right, it's time to get back into the Minimig again. When I get home this Friday I'll install the new firmware and then send my board off to AmigaKit for the 4MB upgrade.
-
Did I miss the news item anouncing the availability of the 4MB version of the Minimig on Amiga.org? It has been on Amigaworld: http://amigaworld.net/modules/news/article.php?storyid=5068
-
Heh, that's news yes :)
-
Well I updated the firmware, replaced the bin file and it works a treat! I like the new menu system and I've left mine configured as a PAL ECS 68000 at 25MHz with 4 floppies and a 20MB hard drive.
Now I have to remove it from the keyboard "case" and send it off to Amigakit for the RAM upgrade.
The ARM board makes upgrading so easy compared to fiddling around with a serial cable and a PC. The Minimig could make an ideal Xmas retro console if mass produced cheaply and bundled with some great classic games.

If the "new" FW gives you 4 FDs, double speed FD, overclocking then what does the ARM controller add apart from "Easier to program".
Thinking to buy a Minimig and have no idea what I need and what to expect. Is it worth waiting for the FPGAArcade board?
