Greetings:
I have finally gotten around to playing with my A2000. I am working with it trying to get some software on her and I am just trying to get her going before I start the upgrades :-)
It already has a GVP 68030 accelerator and GVP SCSI card on board. It is currently running the 2.05 ROM (I do have the 3.1, but I am waiting to install it until I get things looked at on her and of course install my battery mod for the RTC. I had our local wizard put it together it for me and it will use a CR2032 button cell when I get around to putting the mod in.
Right Now I am having trouble gettng my SCSI external CDRW drive to be seen by the system.
It has in it (some of this will be review):
GVP SCSI adapater
GVP 68030 accelerator card
Kickstart version 37.175
Workbench version 38.35
The external CD device is a Plextor 12/10/32S writer (which worked flawlessly with my old 4000, but of course this is an A2000.
Am I missing a driver? If so, what driver should I use or what files do I need to modify... it has honestly been so long, this is all brand new again!
Hope someone can help.
Thanks,
Mike

Got a CDFS installed? 3.1 has one built-in (lousy, but functional), otherwise you'll need AsimCDFS or similar (AmiCDFS and BabelCDFS are freeware).
GVP SCSI sometimes has issues with removable devices. What's your version of gvpscsi.device?

@matt_h: Thanks. I believe that is what it is missing. I could see the SCSI device initialize but the CD never appeared in my WB... so it is probably lack of a CDFS.

I got asim cdfs disk for <$10 (make an offer).

@nishtek: Thanks. Downloaded AmiCDFS from Aminet and will give that a try.
