Hey all,
I'm using WB3.1 in E-UAE. I am having trouble getting IRC to work. I've tried BlackIRC and WookieChat, but any server I try to connect to just times out. (I've checked those servers are working in linux irc ;)
bsdsocket emulation is turned on in the E-UAE config file and Aweb is working fine, it just seems to be a problem with IRC. Anyone have any ideas on what the problem could be?
Thanks.

Can you telnet to them OK?

Just tried - nope, still times out.
Now this is really weird - AmIRC does work. Hadn't tried that client before because of the time limit, so it's not much good to me. Why would that work but not the others?

Maybe the IRC servers are invalid?

No, they work fine in Linux XChat, and I admin one of them so I know it's up and running..
I know the the easy solution would be to just stick with Linux ;) But I want to use my "Amiga" damn it! I want to recapture my (wasted) teen years huddled over my A1200 chatting away for hours, heh.
Hm, so has anyone here successfully used these clients under E-UAE? That way I can at least determine whether it's *possible* or not..
