Title: How much £ for this Amiga a1200 spec?
Post by: crawff on September 02, 2009, 02:24:45 PM
Hi guys,

How much would i be lucky to purchase a spec for an a1200 similar to one which
"Novacoder" owns?

A1200 (new!) running OS3.9 BB3
Blizzard 030 Mk4 + FPU & 64MB RAM
IndivisionAGA
IdeFixExpress
8GB CF
Wireless PCMCIA LAN
19" Flatscreen CRT

Is it possible to replace the CF with an internal harddrive as well?

I dont need the Monitor though but i like the set up of the system.

Any rough guesses welcome...

I currently have an Minimig in a white loriano case with Jakub's ARM Controller and a SCART adapter...might have to sell to raise the funds...

I would say around 300 Euros without CRT. You can of course use a standard harddrive instead of CF.

Hmm.. I'd say more like £400.00, maybe a bit over.

Do you think it is the best set up for WHDload?

I want to be able to play old a500/+ games as well as AGA/CD32...

I am not sure what system i should be looking to buy...

I go with A1200 (or A4000 if you're into that look) as the best WHDload machine, though decent 1200 accelerators seem more common than 4000 ones.
