Title: New Minimig core for Altera DE1 & DE2 released!!
Post by: gaula92 on September 01, 2009, 03:14:59 PM
Well, That's it: a new version of the Minimig core for the Altera DE1 & DE2 based on Yaqube's latest version, has been released today:

http://gamesource.groups.yahoo.com/group/minimigtg68/

As an interesting note, I'll say it uses a 68k implementation on FPGA, clocked at 43 Mhz!!
It uses ANOTHER 68k to replace the ARM controller!

A custom build with emulated joystick on keyboard is on the works by Mr TCDEV!!

Go, go, Altera DE1, go!!! :D

PS: Please try it on newer Altera DE1 boards with ZENTEL SDRAM chips and post your expeciences, if possible. It doesn't work on mine (for now....and v12e DID work) but it's supposed to work on every DE1.

PS2: It's not about emulation: it's about hardware revival...

Does that mean two softcore m68k, or actually a real one as well?
Anyhow... awsome, minimig variants nearing mid-range amiga systems :)

It means two softcore 68k.
But I see is as an advantage: we could get 68020 free upgrade one of these days :D
