Hi just wondering if any one has any knowledge of a scart adaptor for the 500? Thanks
-
I found that the best way to make one was to buy an over-the-counter RGB scart lead and adapt it using the details found here -
http://pinouts.ru/VideoCables/AmigaScart_pinout.shtml
The only problem you may encounter is sourcing the 23-pin connector and hood, although a 25-pin connector can be hacked to suit.
The image quality using RGB to an LCD or plasma is very good.

This cable from Amigakit should work for you:

Is it just me that feels Amiga scart cables are too expensive?
I think there are people on eBay selling them close to £20 IIRC, thats far too expensive. I remember when the old catalogue Index here in the UK sold them for £5.99, which I had bought a load now! LOL

Excellent! I'll take a look at the link and get back to you thanks

I've bought one from this seller and it works fine. He doesn't have any for sale at the moment but if you send a message they'll let you know when they'll have some more:

Good timing with this question, I just got my A1200 home from a long stay in my parents' loft and I was just wondering how to hook it up to my TV :)

£5.99 was cheap, even for 1989. Take into account inflation since then and that raises todays price to about "£11".

Mine cost around a fiver to make a couple of years ago!
1.5m RGB scart from Aldi @ £2 (surprisingly good quality)
Jack plugs and a little bit of shielded 2 core cable @ £1
23-pin connector & hood @ £2
Resistors @ 4p

I wouldn't mind knowing where I can get a couple of 23 way D connectors and hoods... they are as rare as rocking horse poop nowadays :(
