@F0LLETT
Any idea if the Sam 800 is actually quicker than the 733??  As I understand it only the 733 has the quicker Ram clock? is there any benchmark testing between both?
I'm torn on which to buy ???

Would you guys ever consider a store down under? :)
How much does it cost to ship one of those to Sydney with a wireless card?

Do they at least offer different keyboard layouts?

Explain?

Do you mean when its setup? If so, then yes, I take alot time and care when assembling them and make sure they are set to the region in the world they are bound for.

If you mean different country keyboards, then no, we are in the UK. I would imagine it would be a nightmare to source keyboards for all round the world.

If you dont want a keyboard & mouse, you can always ask before ordering.

Without running a benchmark, I would'nt know.
Why not ask Acube, they made the board.

yes the 733 is better becouse of faster bus and it is also not overclocked to much so it will not fail as fast as the 800, its a reason why acube stop selling these 800 you know..

lol, please show me evidence of this.
You cant just make a statment like that.

Noone seems to know, hence the ton of pointless "which 1 is faster" threads. Lets wait until Acube actually answer.

I would also like to know, at which point do they fail, cause I have had 800Mhz sam systems running for something like 10 hours a day for 3 or 4 days with out, 1 crash, error and problem.

well here's Acubes response to my email regarding which system is faster:

"Hello,

It all depends on what action you do. Sometimes the 800 is faster, sometimes it's not.
But if you compare the 2 boards on many tests, you'll find the 800 a bit faster.
And I'm sure you won't regret your purchase

"it will not fail as fast as the 800"

Is there a failed/broken PowerPC 440 somewhere in the world?
To my knowledge, it's extremely reliable. Far more reliable than any desktop CPU.

((I would not be surprice if they run something like 50 years, when not overclocked and some 5 years, when heavily overclocked, in typical desktop use.))

Not 1 has gone faulty. Hence, I would like proof.

I think they stop selling the 800Mhz not for any problem but because not all cpu modules are capable of running at 800Mhz, instead clocking to 733Mhz is safe for all and the speed is similiar.

I would add a Sam440ep 553Mhz with M9 is enough for most Amiga apps :-)
