I have a 2620 that worked a couple of months ago in my 1.2 kickstart A2000, I now have 3.1 and tried it again and all I get is a message that says "2620 monitor 3m". I suspect the 2620 has ROMS less than Rev. 6.6, I hear these won't work. How do you tell what Rev. you have? The part # on the IC is 390282-02. I also have a 2630 that I never could get to work in anything that has a part # 390282-06. Are the ROMS compatible? Can you tell what Rev. these are from the part #'s?
Thanks

From the part number. Looks like revision 2. if you had 6 you'd have 390282-06 etc.
Anyway if you need Rom 7.0 roms for your 2630 drop me a message. I have a 2630 board that I can test yours on, before shipping to you.
You need version 7.0 for use with kickstart 3.1.
thanks.

Well I'll try the 2630 ROMs in my 2620 to see if that works. If it doesn't how much are your 7.0 Roms?

$20 including shipping. this covers mostly my time to "test" the rom in my Amiga 2630 board. (I have to open the case, remove the card, insert the roms and boot / run the system for 10 minutes or so).
The rom works in 68030 or 68020 board. (by the way the 020 came before 030 in evolution by Commodore).
little disclaimer:
No guarantees on future availability or price. (sorry this isn't my full time job and the price quoted should be pretty attractive for order within a week). Main reason actually, is that I may be out of the country next month.

2620 and 2630 have the same ROM

Hi,
I took the ROMs from my nonworking 2630 (part# 390282-06) and put them in m 2620 and it worked, so I guess I won't need new ROMs unless I can get the 2630 to work. BTW when an accellerator fails is it usually the CPU or FPU, or something else?

Usually something else.
