Title: Competition pro-Honey bee
Post by: Guille64 on August 06, 2009, 09:24:32 PM
Hello,

Do anyone of you know the difference between the "Competition pro CD32 joypad" and the "Honey bee CD32 joypad"?
They look the same and I've just bought the "Competition pro". I am a bit curious about the change of the name, the factory was the same? Maybe different release time?

Regards

Going by the pictures below, there's no difference at all ...

Probably the same company produced it for different vendors

All "Competition Pro" CD32 pads are actually just Honey Bee pads, they even have it printed in the plastic on the back. But since Honey Bee were better known to console gamers for their range of control pads, I guess they rebranded some of them as "Competition Pro" because that name was more popular with Amiga gamers.

Thank you Cammy; I wait for the pad to coming the next days. I think the CD32 original pad is a really good one, and I feel confortable with it for most of the games and play Liberation with this pad instead of a mouse. People say that the best is the Competition pro/Honey bee, so I bought one to test it.
