Hi guys,
I got:
2x 32Mb SDRAM 133mhz chips
2x 16Mb
2x 8Mb
all 72pin
any offers?
i will either sell it or find a good use for them. they were in anti-static bags in a box :-D woohooo i love finding mysterious boxes.
hmmmmm guys, can i replace the 8mb 72pin from my FPU with one of these 32mb rams? or are they programmed to work with only what comes with them as standard? (no overclocking? no hacking? what kind of world is this?)
cheers!
-
RAM on the FPU ? WTF ?????
Somehow I would think that you talk about some accelerator, but
without further info it's a bit hard tell.
What Amiga-modell ? What CPU ? Any printings on the board ?
-
it said FPU and 8Mb with a big sticker
:-D
although i wouldnt know much about them
-
Not very helpful ......
No this is what I assume:
A memory-card for the A1200, with FPU, but without CPU.
In that case: 8mb is the absolute maximum.
-
hi dude,
PCB Says: A1200 8Mb RAM/FPU/RTC
Motorola chip says:
MC68882FN33A
1C12R
QEYS9229
oooh but the memory is on a seperate 72pin Ram board. would sticking a 32Mb in its place blow the board?
-
Might not blow the board, but it means the main chip is still the EC020 on the motherboard, which has a maximum addressable RAM of 8Mb. Stick with the 8Mb SIMM, or get an accelerator.
-
bah cheers mate,
thats solves that mystery then.
can i stick more than 32Mb in my 68040/40 then? :-D
right then,
im selling these rams then... all 72pin and all looking nice :-D
-
Memory for sale,
I don't want you memories! :-P
-
Well a 68040 should be able to take more RAM, assuming it is not
one of those #?%$ยง GVP-cards which need special RAM, or something
so old/odd it would take ZIPs or 8bit SIMMs ....
Again, better description would help.
-
its an apollo 68040/40 with 32mb 72pin SDRAM.
i got it from power computing for loads of bux. and still works :-D

This one ? (http://www.amiga-hardware.com/apollo4040.html)
Seems you could add up to 3 more 32mb-modules to it.
No mention off jumpering for a certain mem-config.
-
@Kronos
he was speaking about an A1200, so i think should be an Apollo 1240.
