Title: WTB: A1200 in the US
Post by: rasterscan on August 02, 2009, 02:02:12 PM
Hi! I'm looking to get back in to the Amiga scene. I was hoping to get an A1200 at a low price. I'm not looking for anything fancy, a stock a1200 would be fine. I'm in the US,NJ.

Thanks!
Randy

hi & welcome back to the Amiga!
I would suggest getting a PAL 1200 right from the get go....alot more demos & games available over the NTSC

..though all it takes to get "PAL" on an NTSC machine is a selection in the early boot menu.

How much are you looking to spend?  I believe AmigaKit still has new ones available.  Do you want one with a hard-drive or without?     Dan

A hard drive would be nice. I was hoping to keep it around $100, but that maybe wishful thinking.

If you don't find one by a private user in the next couple days, let me know. I should have one available soon in that ballpark.

@Rasterscan

No disrespect, but $100 is way too low.  A more fairer offer would be $150-200 range.

I have a PAL A1200 with 2gb hard drive in it (it also has built in PCMCIA fix) which I would let go to you but problem may be weight to post to NJ from Scotland... Would be looking for $120 + postage though...  Let me know if you are interested at all and I could work out postage but I think postage would be very expensive (probably around $70)...
