First of all let me start off with ... I used to love the amiga. I say "used to" because I just dont use them at all anymore.
Ok with that out of the way let me explain why I am posting ...
I used to work for Creative Computers... the largest amiga retailer in the world before the fall of Commodre and the Amiga. I was an Amiga tech and owned at least 4 amigas. I still have a 3000 , 1200, and possibly 2 500's, and maybe packed in a box a 600hd. I have around a hundred programs ... all original with boxes and manuals, games as well as programs such as ProPage, Scala, etc.
Of course all of this was used for many years but at the time I packed them up they were all in working condition. I also have some custom chips ( Fat/Fatter Agnus, Dual 3.1 Roms, I have some Zipps for the 3000 ( dont remember off the top of my head if they are 256k or 1 meg } I also have an opal vision board and a Zorro style memory expansion board for the 3000 from Progressive Peripherals that will hold 16 1meg or 4 meg 30 pin simms. I also have an accellerator for I believe the 1200 ( not sure if this works or not ).
As I have said I have alot of Amiga stuff ... I dont sell on ebay and have no idea what any of this stuff is worth now days... but, since they are sitting around in boxes and I am planning on moving soon I would like to find people that need or want this stuff. I dont really want to give it away but if any of you are interested in some or all of these things, will you e-mail me and let me know what they are worth to you. I will take the best offers and will respond to all that inquire about the items.
As I stated I used to be an Amiga tech and I may even still have an old tech manual laying around. I dont have a list of everything and any inquiries will require me to dig through a lot of boxes but if its worth my time it may well be worth it to you.
Thank you all for your time and reading my long (possibly boring ) story.
E-mail me at tmaki1@midsouth.rr.com if you are interested in anything. I will try and respond asap to any and all requests.
Thanks again

Very long, and quite dull. However, you're still welcome :-)

Welcome back.
-
put the amiga stuff into storage then ship it over once you move :-D
-
headshot: btw amiga never FELL , its alive and kicking.
you have lots of hw! ..nice!
but why sell it? u can use it u know...
-
its all worthless, you better let me take it off your hands :-)
-
Headshot,
You should let us all know where in the world you are from since that's kinda important when you're mailing bulky computers :-)
-
I live in Memphis Tenn. USA.
I can ship items by what ever carrier is cheapest for the person or persons who want the items. I will get the postage rates at that time and will not charge more than the actual shipping charge. Boxes, tape, packaging etc. I will take care of. Insurance will be up to the buyer if he/she wants it, and how much it is to be insured for.
If you have any other questions just ask.
Also as to why I dont want to use them any longer ... well I am a 48 year old gamer and almost all the newest and best titles are produced on and for the current PC's. I have given up using a computer for almost everything except the net and games. I am currently an A+ / Apple / HP /Compaq / IBM certified tech and as such I get my equipment cheap when I need to upgrade. As to my Amiga's they were beyond a doubt the best thing in their day and I still am amazed at how few people really know how good they were / are.
Thanks again for your interest.

so looks like i will continue resurrecting my A500 and trying to find WB disks for under $30

Which Creative Computer did you work at? I bought both my A3000 and A500 at the Redondo Beach store.

It's nice that you want to practically give away your stuff. Though if you like to recuperate at least some money think about selling everything seperately on ebay. I recently sold my A4000/040 with DPS PAR and a few other cards and stuff for about 800 euro/900$. Specially on your side of the pond there's plenty of people willing to pay good money for good stuff. For some people the Amiga (even the classic) is far from dead. I can see why you no longer have a use for it, I found myself in a similar situation.

I started in the Redondo Beach store in Sept. 1992 as an Amiga Tech and worked in the small tech area in the back of the store. I later moved to the Warehouse / Distribution Center in Torrance as the Config. Manager. I was later ( in 1996 ) transfered as the Config. Manager to the Memphis Distribution Center ( in Memphis Tenn ) where I worked until about 2 weeks ago when I was fired after over 11 years of service.
But all that is another long story... email me if you really want to know more.

I will Send out ( As Soon As I Can ) a list of items ( hardware / applications / games / bits and pieces etc. ) that will include the item description / type of item / condition. All Items of software will be boxed ( or as originally packaged ) and will contain the ORIGINAL Disk's. I may include back-ups of the original software but will not sell any software that does not include the Original Disks / Packaging / and Manuals unless noted.
I have never used ebay so this is why I am offering all my stuff in this manner. I dont have prices I want to sell these items for, so please if you want something just tell me what you want to pay on the list and send it back to me. I will look over what people want and send back replies to all that send me offers.
If someone wants to help guide me through the ebay process so it will be easier for you all, I will consider using them ( ebay ) and listing the items there.
I want to make this fair for everyone but I am old ( 48 hehehhehe ) and feeble ( or just lame ) and never sold anything on ebay.
Damn I am tooo looong wiiinded.
Thanks again

eBay is pretty easy to use nowadays. If you have a digital camera take some pictures and make notes of as much information as possible. Get some packing material and box everything up, get their weights and determine shipping costs before listing the item. Follow the registration process on eBay. eBay will charge you a listing fee, value depending on features and a final value fee depending on the ending price.
If you go this route just use the standard selling tool on eBay for 1 auction. Don't bother with all the other tools. If you have any questions just let me know. It's not all that difficult really.

Yep E-bay is pretty easy.
Here is my first listing.. It took about 20 minutes.
Also to give you an Idea of what this stuff is worth.
I set my reserve(minimum selling price) to 150$

Surely you could sell some of your systems and use the money to upgrade your 3000 or 1200 to a useable " modern"
computer.. Amiga's are a lot of fun.

I started in the Redondo Beach store in Sept. 1992 as an Amiga Tech and worked in the small tech area in the back of the store.
Small tech area is right. I think the Centaur guys upstairs had more room. I only ever took my A500 in there for the drop treatment, and my A3000 in there because I had somehow erased the SuperKS file and wanted it updated to 2.04 in ROM.
CC was a nice place for a while. I remember when the Apple edict came down and a lot of sales people quit. I walked in and was like, "Where did the Amigas (and Amiga salespeople) go?"

Don't post your thing to the ebay forum
