Title: CD32 joypad
Post by: spaceman88 on July 26, 2009, 09:41:37 PM
Sega joypads are quite cheap and I know you can use them on an Amiga. If I get one and run a CD32 game on my A1200 will all the buttons work? Are there extra buttons on the CD32 joypad that the sega does not have?
Thanks

Yea only the directional pad and FIRE button (`B` I think) will work.

Games which use the CD32 contollers` Shoulder Pads, green, yellow, blue, and START buttons will not work with a Sega controller.

Get a CD32 Competition Pro controller - it`s best of both.

It's completely compatible with the C= CD32 joypad.

"Some good things said about it are that it's shaped like a Megadrive
joypad, the diagonals are easier to get to, it feels less delicate, it
has turbo and auto fires, and it has a slow motion button.

Some bad things said about it are that it's shaped like a Megadrive
joypad and the diagonals are more difficult to get to.

     Obviously a bit subjective."

Yup, the competition pro CD32 controller is great, sadly I've found them to be kind of expensive and hard to find...

If someone has found a stash of NOS comp. pro CD32 controllers, please PM me, I need 5 of them... :afro:
