Title: Fitting an AMON
Post by: Matt_H on October 30, 2003, 06:10:24 PM
I finally got one of these things! Trouble is, the connectors to the AGA chipset are designed to connect to an internal scandoubler. Is it possible to swap out the AGA lead for something that will mount externally on the 23pin video port?

Failing that, has anyone got any pinouts?

It's an autoswitcher to enable Native passthrough on a CV3D. Eyetech used to make them.

That's just what I need for my CV3D on my 3000T
WHere can you buy such a beast in the US?

Thanks

I bought mine used from someone in the UK. I've not been able to find a similar product in the States.

OK, I've since discovered that the leads are modular and I can swap the scandoubler lead out for a 15pin VGA lead. The question is, where can I get one / how can I build one?

Maybe I should spring for an internal scandoubler...

I agree, I could definately do with one of these for my 3kT as well :)

I am currently using a dodgy monitor switch box. Besides being annoying the cabling is low quality so causing ghosting on the screen. I am tempted to go back to using the GVP Spectrum because it had a pass through built onto it

The AMON and BMON for Blizzardvision Gfx cards are/were made by Eyetech here in the UK.

hrmmmm, decided to have a look at Eyetechs site. decent price (though it sucks living in Australia since after getting it over here will basically double the cost of it :) ).

I will have to have a look around for more info. Would like to see if it can use the 15 pin 31Khz monitor port on my 3k.
