Title: A4066 INT6/INT2 jumper
Post by: Damion on July 25, 2009, 02:38:47 AM
I was lucky enough to find an Ameristar A4066 recently, but have run into a little snag (as usual with old amiga hardware).

The card locks after some moments of use in my A2000, freezing the computer solid. It works perfectly fine until it suddenly b0rks. No problem in my A3000 though.

Seems it would be easy to modify the JP2 area to switch from INT6 to INT2, but is this likely to make any difference whatsoever?

OK. :)

The default is actually INT2. Switching to INT6 works up until you try to go online with Miami or Genesis, at which point it locks the computer. (It's recognized however by the card's diagnostic tools.) One of the MNI drivers has an option for selecting INT2 or INT6, but this doesn't work with the A4066 driver.

Oh well... I will simply use it in the A3K where it works fine. :)
