Title: CPU usage in latest winuae
Post by: stefcep2 on July 15, 2009, 02:22:41 PM
Hello All,

Just installed the latest Winuae and my CPU usage is 80% when I am basically doing nothing with the emulated workbench.  My laptop is a c2d 2.4ghz with 4 gig ram and vista sp2.  Any idea why its doing this, I don't think the previous version did.  My cpu temp went from 28 deg c to 42 deg C.

I worked it out: i set the CPU idle to about 10%.  Not sure what unwanted results this might bring though, will play with it a bit more and see.

I'm not sure if you talk about v1.61 or v1.62 beta. But I can tell you that winuae v1.62beta is mega slooooow by default. So I'm not using that version anymore. Hope the programmer fixes this bug soon.
