Title: mkisofs or another Windows burning program
Post by: Speelgoedmannetje on October 28, 2003, 08:31:45 PM
does anybody knows which attributes you need to use when making an Amiga competible ISO with mkisofs
Or does anybody knows a (freeware/shareware) cd burning program that runs under Windows (or under an amiga emulator)

The Amiga will happily read any ISO9660 CD-ROM, not matter how it is written.

For best compatibility with the Amiga filesystem, use ISO9660 Level 2 with Amiga extensions and Rockridge.  If you are writing from Windows it really doesn't matter though, as you won't have the Amiga-specific file attributes and comments anyway.

I know it's not "under Windows" exactly but if you get a Knoppix CD and boot it you have very nice GUI-oriented CD burning software there. The same can be said of partitioning software, disk imaging software and so on, all of which has a price tag in Windows.
