Hi all, what's the easiest way of getting my 2.5" IDE HDISK 3.1 OS (I like the setup) off the HDisk and onto my new 4GB CF Card. There's only about 110MB of system stuff.
I'm thinking the option is to invest in a CF PCMCIA adaptor and use that to copy off onto. Probably a good backup option too.
I do have a CD Burner and MakeCD but then I have to install it all on the new OS before I can restore.
I'm not going to try to FTP it off to my windoz box and diskette backup aint an option
Any other options or have I hit the nail on the head?
Cheers,
Gertsy

CF PCMCIA sounds the most straightforward route...
You could get an external usb hd enclosure for your hd and mount it on your PC Winuae and copy that way too but compared to the pcmcia it's a PITA...

Dual IDE cable and copy the content directly to the cf card....
That's what i did....

If you go for the IDE splitter, I'd suggest getting one with a line buffer chip for the signals. An unbuffered IDE can overload the power output of the IDE controller on the A1200 motherboard.
