Title: customize this page gone?
Post by: Wayne on June 29, 2009, 03:31:26 PM
Hello again guys,

Just a note to also let you know that I've gotten a few complaints from members regarding "blocks" (what the system calls modules) not appearing on the front page.

With these few users, we've tried clearing the caches and all that to no avail.  As such, I have TEMPORARILY suspended the "customize this page" option until we get it all figured out.

If things suddenly look different from what you had them set to, we apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

We here at Amiga.org make no claims either for, or against your sanity.  For those claims, you're on your own.

In this case though, yep.  It was me.  I'm curious actually to know how people are using that feature, since it's only moving boxes around and not adding/removing them.

I used it to move all the blocks I don't use to the bottom of the screen, and put the ones I do use where they used to be on the old forum.

Part of the problem is, as we roll out new features, the "customize this page" feature keeps anyone from being able to see them.  Example, the new forum "latest" links underneath the recent threads box...
