I would be grateful if anyone could confirm whether or not this is still possible if the flicker fixer has been "snapped" from the card.

when fitting into an A2000 the flicker fixer must be removed by breaking the card - requires the Denise adapter to avoid this

If you still have the flicker fixer you can connect it to the main PIV board with two ribbon cables. You can then use the whole card again in an A4000 video slot.

As Flashlab said, it's no problem. You can make shorter cables if you wish, and make sure the contacts on the "snapped" areas aren't touching.
Also... FWIW, I'm pretty sure this bit of info (from bboah?) is wrong:

According to what I've read here (from MastaTabs) and some old usenet postings, the PIV must be snapped even with the Denise adapter.

That's what I did with my PIV when transferring from A500T to A4000T; I shortened the cables as short as I could to make them less susceptible to interference.
