Title: Run CD32 games with WinUAE
Post by: Phantom on June 19, 2009, 02:25:48 PM
Is it possible to run original CD32 games with WinUAE? If yes, how I can achieve that? Thanks.

Of course you can. I think it's just a matter of putting the CD in the drive and using the CD32 Quickstart option.

Would you also ned a CD32 Kickstart ROM, or would an A1200/A4000 one do?

You have to have the normal 3.1 rom and the extended rom.

Thanks for the replies guyz. And what about the joypad? I believe that WinUAE can emulate it with the corresponding keys right?

Not that I'm into advertising but the Amiga Forever 2008 Package does it beautifully (not checked 2009 but I'm sure it will too).  I use that along with Daemon Tools (for mounting the ISO file of whatever game I want to play - of course you can just put a disc in your CD Rom drive too).  Works a treat and of course AF comes with all the appropriate and legal ROM's for whichever machine you boot into.

AmigaForever is a great product no matter what some people may say about it.
