How does one obtain Yaqube's ARM controller for Mini-Mig? Is there a website?
-
There's a thread about it on the minimig forums. Not sure if the time for preordering an ARM board has expired though.

There are still a few boards left as I had to make more than ordered. You can still place your order. The boards are almost ready and will be shipped soon.

@yaqube
It would be great if you would post the schematics, gerbers, and code to the MiniMIG ARM adapter board. MiniMIG was GPL, and some of us were hoping that you would GPL the MiniMIG ARM micro adapter. It would give the Atmel ARM micro a lot better chance of being the standard microcontroller used on MiniMIG instead of the PIC.

Good stuff Jakob, looking forward to it.

I'd just like to point out to any Minimig owners out there that the ARM controller has TWO important functions:
#1: It is a lot faster (especially with larger HDF images) than the PIC.
#2: Updating the ARM is much easier than the PIC as it takes the update file for reflashing off the SD Card instead of having to mess around connecting the Minimig to a PC via a serial link.

@Darrin
yes of course, thank you for this for these precise details:-)

No problem. I wouldn't sell my ARM controller for $1000. Great bit of kit. :D
