I have up for auction, on eBay, a very nice Amiga 600HD computer. It has a 85 Meg hard drive and 2 Megs of memory. It is still inside its original Commodore box. Check it out !!!! :-D

Isnt it funny. In every other DoomMaster posting, we have "The a1200 is crap, yada yada all other amigas suck... whatever" BUT when our friend here sees some $$$ to be made, suddenly the a600 IS NOW a "a very nice Amiga 600HD computer"..

I said that the Amiga 600HD is a very nice computer. I NEVER said that it was as nice as the Amiga 2000 Series, it is not. When compared to the Amiga 2000 Series, the Amiga 500, 600, and 1200 ARE CRAP ! This is why I am selling the Amiga 600 and 1200 computers that I picked up from Goodwill, because I actually thick that they are very poorly designed and are very low quality. :-P

The 500 and 1200 are much better than the crappy old 2000 space eating breeze block with no potential for ppc or mediator they are crap thats the reason they are worth next to nothing yet a1200,s have more potential and are worth more.i gave my a1500 away thats just a 2000 without a hard drive if i could have swapped it for an a1200 i would have. :-D

I really can't believe this - this is getting sooo boring and predictable...I took a look at this thread to see the A600, and what did I find? The same comments you guys have been making for what is it, a month? Two months?
Blah blah, professional, blah, blah, military spec. Who gives a fu(k? Who cares if you don't agree with DoomMaster? Throughout your life you'll encounter people you'll think are a tit, so what?

What is this then? Why would he want to get another low-quality piece of crap like the Amiga 1200? It would be much better if he bought himself from eBay an Amiga 2500, 3000, or 4000 computer. Then he would have something to be proud of and brag about.

@ DrDoomMaster - Dude! I am the one that speaks through ones arse? Hahah! Get a life helmet. You contradict yourself 24/7 my friend just to make a quick buck. At the end of the day, as i pointed out to cyberus, i was bored so i made the post. Anyway, if the a600 is poor, then surley selling it to "some poor guy" is not goodwill? Doommaster, show some good will as the festive season is fast approaching and do not sell that poor quality, non helmet spec Amiga toy and take it off ebay. Show me you REALLY dont think its worth anything and do that, and sell some real machines. Or maybe you can just admit that when the amiga 1200 series of computers may not have the best construction of the case, its not a toy at all (unless you want it to be), and its got the advantage over the a2k that you dont need a desk re-enforcement (or even a mil-spec desk) so use it on. Every amiga has its good and bad points - im sure that you can agree with me here. I have an amiga 2000 sitting in the loft, i had so many expansion boards in it it died,, poor thing whilst yes it was a solid constuction in the case, unfortunatley the electronics just were not up to the game. I understand that the amiga 2000 has the slots, the big case, easy to upgrade, etc whereas an amiga 1200 you cannot upgrade (much) in the standard desktop case, whatever but what about a tower for it? The possibilities are endless dude....
Good luck in selling your amiga 600 - hopefully someone will get to enjoy it if you cant.

Boy, you people are mental
The Amiga 600 has the same exact construction and case as the A1200, so if the 600 is crap,then so is the 1200.............but I for one love the A600, it is my second favorite next to the CD32/SX32
Im probably gonna be the stupid dude who buys it from DoomMaster, as some might say........unfortunately I already have 3 Cd32's and 2 A600's, maybe I'll make this my 3rd.

we have the freedom of speech and everything guys, viva la democracy but come on... Lets see PC users slag each other off.
its quite funny when the whole future of any development of any amiga platform is still up in the air and dependant on people actually supporting the platform.
hey say whats bad about it so that it can get fixed and then it wont be bad anymore... its simple... find whats wrong, discuss it, then hopefully try and fix it..
the problem is that the loop seems to go like this:
find something thats wrong, discuss it, then insult anyone that still uses anything that has any flaws or doesnt use the same exact version of the amiga that you do.
people giving things bad reviews is different, reviewing some software or hardware at 30% isnt a bad thing, if you actually say whats wrong with it, and why that its wrong and then hopefully the developers will actually see this and say "hey we better fix that"
trust me, noone makes something bad on purpose, any constructive criticism is always appreciated. it makes the product better and increases sales, so commercially and for end users everyones happy.

What is quite funny is that Doomy gets away with this crap. Basically conveying that someone is a MORON because they choose to use an A600 or A1200. It's just plain RUDE and when he posts something to deliberately insult someone for the choice of computer they use then he should Moderated.
If he was in here saying that people were morons because they used the Inferior PEG instead of his Professional AmigaOne, then you bet your @ss he'd be moderated. I don't see how this is different from what he gets away with now.
Then to top it all off, after listening to his demeaning posts, it turns out he's just a big Hypocrite! Saying in one place how wonderful the A600 and A1200 are, then INSULTING people on this website for owning one!

While I might agree with you somewhat there I want it clear to everyone that what I was trying to convey is that hopefully people would be Moderated either way for insulting someone for the choice of computer they use. Doesn't matter which way it goes either.
If you're insulting someone and you keep doing it repeatedly, wether it be,
'My Peg is better than your AmigaOne so you're a MORON'
or 'My AmigaOne is better than your PEG so you're a MORON'
or for saying 'My A2000 is better than your A1200 so you're a MORON."
that at some point someone that runs the site needs to say something to this person. Either directly or through moderating them.

The fact is that anybody who says that their computer is better than someone else?s must desperately feel their computer is inadequate. Everybody has their own reasons for their choice of hardware and that should be it, end of debate.
Whether you choose your computer for its performance, build quality, price or just because you thought it was cool; it really doesn?t matter as long as you like it that?s all that matters.
