Is it possible? I can open amiga .iff files on photoshop and edit them but I cannot save them as an IFF.
Anyone knows how to edit and save them so I can open it on my A500?
thanks.
EDIT- **SOLVED**
I just search on this forum for "photoshop" and found a better plug-in for iff files, the one I had was corrupt or something.

Cheers!

Q: Who owns ILBM/IFF format files and how come nobody uses them? They are lossless and compact plus you can do animations with them. :madashell:
I've read their spec, they are not the be all and end all, but noone has really made a replacement for them.

Paintshop Pro was always able to open .iff files, as I recall.

Licensing and patent claims - None.

ACDSee at least up to version 4 loaded and saved IFF's
that's because one of the early developers was originally an Amiga guy
I can also load IFF's in AfterEffects, but unless you are a professional it's unlikely you (regular folks) would have that program :)
Lightwave (on a PC) used to load IFF's - I have no idea if it still does
-
XnView (current build 1.96.1) can read and write back IFF pics.
PSP v7 too, not sure about more recent versions.

Is that 'Amiga' IFF's or Maya IFF's? Stupid Maya stole our extension! It can get kinda confusing if you are a Maya user.

Amiga IFF
although it's the earier version - not the IFX version with the alpha channel

Irfanview (free, small and popular) will load, save and convert Amiga IFFs. It will even convert between Photoshop format and IFF format and vice-versa.
It is not really an editor though, in the sense that you can't adjust individual pixels (only do resizing, cropping, brightness and other processes/filters).
