Title: AmigaKit News
Post by: amigakit on January 04, 2009, 08:52:12 PM
AmigaKit, the Amiga computer reseller are pleased to introduce Christopher Follet, a new electronics technician who has now joined our team.

With Christopher's added experience, we are planning additional services and new products for the Amiga market in 2009.

In the forthcoming year, we will also be continuing to work closely with our existing hardware partners to deliver new products and fund additional production runs of existing out-of-stock products, such as the recent exclusive release of new Subway USB (http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=137).

We would like to thank our customer base for their past support.

I have a couple of A4000 motherboards that could need some attention, one needs all SIMM sockets replaced and the other needs new CIA chips (I think, it doesnt boot, stops with yellow screen and rapidly blinking power LED). For both it would be excellent to have socketed chips, at least the CIAs. Is this kind of soldering job something you can do?

@Amiduffer:

Actually, it is kind of odd if you take the financial crisis and the current state of the Amiga market into account.

nobody suggested a service for populating those blue replacement A1000 boards. probably big money in that. well, maybe not since people will complain about the price no matter what.  :roll:
