AmigaSYS 4 for AGA computers is released. A lot of upgrades are included, i do not mean the program updates, i mean real, evident, noticable new features, wich are heavily modify, improve and make the system more comfortable.
For example, more than 50 supported RAM/CPU card, boot screen for every cpu and machine type, nice boot music, fully menu controlled fast buttons, and full 68020-68060 optimalized settings.
The installer descriptions are expanded. If you used the former AmigaSYS AGA, then it is still worth to look into the new descriptions.

This is probably one of the coolest and most overlooked projects for folks with an AGA only Amiga.
when I get my A1200 going again, I will be installing this on it.
-
Excellent! :-D
-
I have extracted the LHA archive to the 2nd drive on my A4000 and renamed it "system". When I boot using the second drive via the early startup screen, I get the message "Please insert volume E in any drive". If I cancel then the Amiga DOS screen fills with ".y." characters and it reports an unknown command.

This should happen: http://amigasys.extra.hu/amigainstall2.jpg . I am asking you tells he how many bytes System:S/Startup-sequence or send for me via E-mail. Does not contain this request "E drive need". Only System. Did you do everything well sure?

Since I'm busy with a fresh system install on my A4000/060 I might as well give this a try... AmigaSYS surely looks good!
-
wheee!
-
Is AmigaSYS something similar to Amikit?
-
Yes. But this is for CLASSIC Amiga's, for running on the ORIGINAL AGA hardware.
-
I see, thanks.

Excellent . . . Downloading now . . . :-D

@ DaryASYS
Thanks for the reply and sorry it has taken me a while to reply. I'm on vacation in the UK and tried the installation the night before I departed. I'll try again when I get home, but this is exactly what I did:
My system has 2 drives, the primary has OS3.9 installed and I wiped the secondary boot drive.
Booted system to OS3.9
Downloaded the LHA file and placed it onto my primary hard drive in the root directory.
Selected "View All Files"
Double clicked on the LHA file and extrated it to the secobdary drive boot partition.
ALL FOLDERS EXTRAXTED WITH NO ERRORS AND WERE VISIBLE
Rebooted the Amiga
Used Early Start-up to select the lower priority secondary drive as the boot device.
Drive starts to boot and then reports the problem locating the "E" drive.
I'll give it another whirl when I get home and try adjusting the boot priority of the drives so the AmigaSYS drive boots first without having to use the Early Start-Up menu. I'll be back in the USA on the 4th.
Cheers.
