Nice work AmiKit:-) love it.....

Looks great man!
Glad to see you have adopted the new themes format offered by AfA_OS. Am I correct in thinking VisualPrefs is no longer used at all?
Cheers,
James

Tried it for the first time today. I see some good ideas but overall it was a confusing experience :) (sorry).
Why mix Workbench: and Work: partition into one? (I thought it was inofficial standard to run one sys and one work partition in Amiga-world).
-
This is an awesome product. I havent turned on my real A1200 since I installed this awhile back.
-
Yes, a very awesome product/project that I just had to support by purchasing the CD.
I wonder if it will run under Linux on my EFIKA???
AmiKit is the best reason to own a Windows PC!
Congrats for finishing another update and thank you so very much for your hard work.

Always Remember.
Amikit (and other Workbench replacement programs) would not exist without the *HARD WORK* that Toni Wilen puts into WinUae.

It would exist. The linux port of AmiKit doesn't use WinUAE at all. :-)
Btw. Toni actively cooperates with us as well as Richard Drummond. Big thanks to them too, of course.

Both types of themes are used. MorpheuZ can switch among VisualPrefs and AfA_OS themes easily. Altogether there are 22 themes (11 classic VisualPref's ones and 11 new 24bit ones).

With the Linux version then, does that use UAE ?
Of which I have not had any experience with, but I believe Winuae has more compatability with software.

That does not lessen the value of AmiKit. And I would not call it a Workbench replacement program as it does so much more than just provide a Workbench replacement with DirOpus.
The work done on WinUAE and EUAE are tremendous efforts and those that have worked long and hard on those efforts, such as Toni and Richard should be given great praise for their work.

Linux doesn't install, saying it is missing {$LOSTFILE}

I'm currently test driving this now using the Amithlon CD. It works okay other than I still have a few boot issues.
Now if there was just an upgrade to A-Web that would be great!

@downix
Linux doesn't install, saying it is missing {$LOSTFILE}
You must be missing either pkg-config or/and sdl-config.
aptitude search pkg-config and aptitude search sdl will reveal all.
I dont know which sdl prog contains sdl-configon ubuntu/debain so safe bet is to install all the sdl- including the -dev ones.
If you have more questions or experience further install problems, either use the AmiKit Support Forum (http://amikit.amiga.sk/forum/index.php) or install the package manually following the instructions here. (http://amikit.amiga.sk/linux.htm)

Yet again brilliant work, I have it on my laptop and my Athlon,
I shall also use it on my 8Gig USB pen.
This just gets beter and beter.
Mike.

Tried the installer under Ubuntu 8.04, I got a similar error:
"The missing program is {$LOSTPROGRAM}"
-
New installer version (1.0.0a) is now available. It addresses the {$LOSTFILE} issue.

Thanks, I'll try it tonight.
You guys made me dust off my Amithlon CD yet again you realize.
