Title: Free dead/odd memory, postage only.
Post by: redrumloa on October 24, 2003, 10:57:49 PM
Maybe someone wants some dead memory for modern art or something. Any memory that fails the initial test, or is not a standard 72 pin simm or has any abnormality is going into a DEAD box. So far i have about 1 pound, so I can gues sthere will probably be many pounds more.

If anyone has any use for dead memory chips you can have them all for free, the cost of shipping only.

I'd hate to just throw them in a landfill with all the talk of that being bad on the enviorment.

Yeh cool, I guess I could make some nice modern art. Ofcourse that depends if you wanna ship it to the uk and if it costs a packet or not :)

Hey Nate you like odd things, did you see THIS? (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1247&item=2761449025)

And yeah you can have some of these dead chips.

@Graffias

Actually I had some Kingston 64-pin SIMM's once, came in a 386 SBC.  When I checked 3-4 years ago Kingston still made them.

hmm i'll have to check into that.  I recently acquired an A3000T and it has a GVP 040 TRex accelerator populated with 16MB ram (2-8MBs) but i have a sneaking suspicion that it's bad and i'd like to test that theory and/or get more memory for it in the process  :-P
