				We would like to introduce you to the new MorphOS-User Portal.
We would like to introduce you to the new MorphOS-User Portal (http://www.morphos-user.com/). It was designed to be a light-weight and fast-loading start page for interested MorphOS users that provides the ability to search the internet, a quick overview on the latest news and forum posts on MorphZone, a few important links, and access to the re-opened MorphOS User EMail System.
All email accounts include several gigabytes of storage, and can be accessed via POP3, IMAP, plus modern web browsers. In order to sign up, please visit this page (http://www.morphos-user.com/signup/).
Please note: Sputnik is a minimum requirement to properly display the website on MorphOS. Also, SSL encryption is mandatory to retreive your email messages. For basic instructions on how to set up your email client, please read this (http://www.morphos-user.com/help.php).

				and i would like to inform you that this is an amiga user portal and not a morphos news site!! or is this an invite to bomb your new morphos user portal with amiga4.0 os,hyperion,amiga inc,a1 news??

				@A1260
What amiga inc news?  :lol:

			-
				The newsitem was accepted.
If it would have been somehow inappropriate for the site it would not have been.
If you don't like the amiga.org policies you can always skip the specific newsitems. Or you can just leave.

Amiga.org is inclusive, not exclusive. Please don't troll.

			-
				Just curious, the news item says:  "We would like to introduce..."
Who is "We" in this case? MorphOS Team?
Thanks

			-
				@HammerD
I would guess "we" would be the Morphzone team to include Targhan.
But I am just guessing.

there is no reason to post about this morphos user portal in the news section of a.org. its  not amiga related. if people are gonna post about morphos they can post in the forum section called "Alternative Operating Systems".
there is no amigaos4.0 news on the front page of any morphos site, its because they have an "Alternative Operating Systems" or similar like here at a.org.
so why is it accepted to post this in the news when we at a.org have an "Alternative Operating Systems" section??... there is no reason for it at all, period!

oh so that mean i can post about every x86 user portal about window vista also, or what about ps3 and xbox360??, yeah rigth!! i think not... there is a section for alternative stuff, lets keep it in there and not on the front page.... and no this is not trolling.

				@A1260
You really are an angry little troll.
When did you last add anything constructive on this board?

So you are really saying that MorphOS is not Amiga related at all? Maybe you should start your own news site where you can post news items that comply with your arbitrary rules.

				@A1260,
Yes, you sound like an angry little troll (and little minded)  MorphOS is just as much Amiga related as AmigaOS4, AROS, WinUAE and AmigaForever!
Please grow up!

			-
				when people post criticism then its trolling... yeah rigth  :roll:

				MorphOS is not Amiga related period.

MorphOS is not Amiga related period.
As some one that has never used MorphOS or even seen it "in person"... I've only seen it in videos on the internet, I'd have to disagree just "a little bit" with that assesment.  Let me list the reasons.
1. Amiga- Uses a Mouse . . . MorphOS- Uses a Mouse
2. Amiga- Uses a Keyboard . . . MorphOS- Uses a Keyboard
3. Amiga- Can be viewed on a 'Monitor' . . . MorphOS- Can be viewed on a monitor
I could go on, but seriously....
Reminds me of the movie good morning vietnam.
RedTroll: "Who brought in the MorphOS?"
RedTroll(Again): "I SAID Who brought in the MorphOS?"
A.org member:"That's all right. I did.
Hey, come on now.
If you kick out the MorphOS, the next
thing, you have to kick out the AROSes,
the DraCos, the WinUAEs and AmiKits.

All that's gonna be left in here
are a couple of brain-dead rednecks."

				@a1260 and drhirudo:
maybe this will shock you but morphos is more amiga related then any amiga inc cra.
its an amiga os which runs amiga sw, it runs on amiga hw if you dont alreadyknow that.
and its not gonna change even if you cry as a baby on every morphos news item. its not an alternative, its an amiga flava. if you really cant stand to see "morphos" just go to amigans.net and enjoy yourself...
what you did a1260 is not criticism (stating "morphos is not amiga" is far from that) just trolling. you can grow up and realize.

				Um, guys...  The MorphOS-User.com portal is a venture some of the MorphOS-Team coughed up, even I helped a little. :-)  It's not meant to be flame-bait, really. I promise.  We were aiming for the "start page" concept (no forums, etc).
The news mods approved it, so I assume it is appropriate.  Besides, Amiga.org supports a broader scope of users than the various MorphOS sites.  Even MorphOS developers hang out on Amiga.org :-)  Amiga.org has been "home" for a very long time...
