Title: NEW! AmiWest 2008 Blog
Post by: thePrez on July 22, 2008, 08:58:57 PM
AmiWest Blog at amigaprez.wordpress.com

For AmiWest 2008, the information accouncements are being posted on a new blog at amigaprez.wordpress.com.  Wordpress was chosen because it is accessible using Amiga's iBrowse and because it is very easy to use and access from just about any browser.  Using a blog also eliminates sending individual email messages.

So tune in to amigaprez.wordpress.com for all the latest on AmiWest 2008!
The hotel is already reserved, vendors are confirming, and we're choosing our banquet speaker now.  Leave a comment and let us know you're coming!

And enough security holes and slack module programmers to make PHPnuke look like a challenge.

None the less, I wish I was at AmiWest.  Maybe next year...

The weekend before my wedding! D'oh! Still, I'll be making an effort to attend. Let's just hope the fiancee doesn't kill me.

You're thinking of Wordpress.org. Wordpress.com is a slightly different thing (albeit based of the multi-user version of the same software).

And lets face it, all software has bugs. If Wordpress wasn't fundamentally good at what it does, it wouldn't have become as popular as it has. Alas that popularity brought some nasties with it. They seem to be getting on top of the security issues now, though.

Its the modules that are buggy, not Wordpress itself.
